Mount Vernon

We flew up to Washington, D.C. in the spring a few years ago and had enough time to drive down to Mount Vernon to take the tour of the site. It was well worth it, as my crew and I were able to enjoy a full day of sights and information, capped off with a great, authentic George Washington-era lunch.

If you get a chance, go check out the video we took of the arrival into DCA. I got to fly the Mt Vernon arrival with the circle to Runway 33 landing. Flying into DCA was always one of my favorite airports to visit. Here’s the link to that video.

There were so many pictures that I created three galleries for you to see: The Welcome Gate and Upper Garden Tour, The Grounds Tour, and the Resting Place of the George Washington family.
